5 Creative Ways To Eat Avocado

Who doesn’t love avocados? Besides being yummy, these green beauties are full of healthy fats that will make your abs happy.

So you’ve stocked up on avocados to make guacamole and stuff them into your sandwiches, but what happens when you’ve still got a few extra lying around and they’re getting a bit too ripe too quickly? We’ve got just the solution. Here are five different and creative ways to eat those avocados:

1. Avocado Smoothies

This may sound odd to some, but if you’re Asian, you know what’s up. This is a glassful of thick, creamy deliciousness and it’s an even sweeter treat with tapioca pearls! There are many ways to make this, but for a simple smoothie, add your avocado with milk (or soy milk), add two spoonfuls of condensed milk (use honey for a healthier option), throw in a few ice cubes and blend away!

2. Avocado Popsicles

Turn that avocado smoothie into a frozen treat! Pour the smoothie mix into a popsicle mold and pop them into the freezer for a few hours. For a creamier and tart taste, replace the milk with plain greek yogurt.

3. Avocado Pasta Sauce

Love the creaminess of Alfredo pasta but hate the unhealthy cream sauce that comes with it? Blend your avocado with olive oil, basil, garlic, lemon juice, pepper and sea salt for a creamy but healthy pasta sauce.

4. Bake With Avocados As A Butter Substitute

That’s right! Remember how avocados are full of healthy fats? Well, it’s enough to replace butter! The next time you bake, try out these paleo dark chocolate cookies made with, of course, avocados.
