No, I’m not talking about my elastic waistband (too much holiday grub). I’m talking about this NYT story you may have seen. Apparently, parents in South Korea are trying all sorts of remedies to make their children taller, spawning hundreds of growth clinics that offer hormone shots, traditional Eastern treatments and special exercises.
This is the first I’d heard of anything like this. While I like my height now (I’m 5-foot-8), growing up, I always wished I was shorter, especially since most of my friends were Asian and, well, more vertically challenged.
Has your height influenced your life in any way?
