A group of Asian Pacific American organizations is sponsoring a free workshop this Saturday, Nov. 20, to help immigrants with their citizenship applications and learn more about the naturalization process. The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the office of State Senator Lou Correa, 2323 N. Broadway, in Santa Ana, Calif.
This workshop will enable green card holders to get help in determining their citizenship eligibility and completing their Application for Naturalization (Form N-400). Staff of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, pro bono attorneys and trained volunteers will assist attendees individually to ensure that the N-400s are completed accurately and then filed with USCIS. Each attendee who completes the application at the workshop will receive a free copy of the Legal Center’s instructional video and accompanying workbook, Citizenship 101: Your Guide to Citizenship. Qualifying applicants will also be placed in a raffle to receive a $100 reimbursement from their naturalization fee.
Appointments are required. To make one, call the Asian Pacific American Legal Center at (213) 977-7500.
