“What’s a bad miracle?” If you can’t think of one off the top of your head, you’re not alone. But audiences of Jordan Peele’s next feature, “NOPE,” will find out on July 22.
Daniel Kaluuya’s character poses the aforementioned question in the film’s brand-new trailer, which was released during Super Bowl Sunday on Feb. 13. The teaser sees Keke Palmer and Kaluuya training horses on a dusty inland California ranch, before the ranch house and surrounding areas inexplicably darken and quiet to reveal glowing lights and hair-raising sounds from afar. The rest of the video features even more unexplained phenomena, like a peek at a monstrous face, Palmer flying into the air and Steven Yeun in a cowboy outfit, complete with a bolo tie.
The trailer doesn’t give much away (it is a Peele film, after all), so we’ll have to wait until this summer to find out what exactly plagues this desert town. Until then, you can watch the preview below.
