Many members of the Asian Pacific American community are speaking out via social media about instances of racial harassment they experienced after Donald Trump’s election win.
Some people are blaming Trump’s rhetoric during his campaign – which saw him speak about women and minorities in a vulgar fashion, and propose a ban on Muslims entering the United States – for post-election racism.
Went running earlier & a guy yelled “built the wall” at me from his car. Guessing he saw a brown woman at a distance & assumed I was Latina.
