Asians Rock the SATs

It’s not really news, but the Wall Street Journal recently published an article on how most students’ SAT scores have stayed the same, except for one notable exception: the Asian Americans.

The high school students posted three-point gain in reading, a four-point gain in math, and a six-point gain in writing over the 2009 scores.

“With a shift toward higher standards and the increasing demands of a global economy, progress on the SATs and in AP courses could not come at a better time,” the said New York City Schools chancellor Joel Klein to the WSJ.

We think NYMag’s Daily Intel said it best: “New York City Schools Chancellor Joel Klein Takes Credit for the Work of Asian Parents.”

In the meantime, keep on studying kiddos. Only one more month till the next round of SATs!
