The host family of foreign exchange students, believed to be from South Korea, allegedly provided underage children with alcohol and forced them into sexual encounters, according to the Gwinnett Daily Post.
Woo Ki Yi, 42, and his wife Hyun Ju Yi, 41, were arrested Wednesday and charged with child molestation and furnishing alcohol to minors in their home in Suwanee, Ga., over a nine-week period starting July 4. The couple allegedly gave alcohol to at least six teens, whose ages ranged from 15 to 18.
Police said the couple would give the students alcohol and have them play drinking games in which the losers would have to remove an article of clothing, according to Patch.com.
When the teens were naked, Woo Ki Yi would make them kiss and touch each other, police said. Detectives said they believe this happened four times or more. Police were alerted after one of thestudents told a school employee about the abuse.
The suspects, who reportedly received a total of $90,000 for housing the six students who attended local high schools, are being held without bond. Suwanee is located about 34 miles northeast of Atlanta.
