Korean hip-hop artist Bryan Chase released yesterday, July 4, the official music video for “Raindrop,” a track from his debut EP, “2U.”
The video, produced by YG’s THEBLACKLABEL, finds Chase battling a robotic alter ego in a post-apocalyptic world. According to Chase, the song “carries a powerful message about staying resilient in the face of constant challenges and refusing to be defeated by adversity.”
“Raindrop” — and the rest of “2U” — follow Bryan’s success with the EP’s titular track. A collaboration with New York rap star A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie, the song quickly amassed over 1 million views on YouTube and was labeled a “Song You Need To Know” by Rolling Stone.
“2U” was released June 28 via THEBLACKLABEL and Interscope Records, with production by BIG BANANA, JUNIORCHEF and 24. The EP represents Chase’s return to the music scene, following his initial rise to fame in the 2010s alongside Korean hip-hop collective, The Cohort. All six songs are now available for streaming.
