Roy Choi’s docu-series “Broken Bread” is heating up.
The show’s second season follows the Kogi chef and activist through some of the West Coast’s most beloved eateries, from Uyên Lê’s Silver Lake staple Bé Ù to the legendary Chinatown patisserie Phoenix Bakery. Along the way, Choi discusses community issues like gentrification, cultural preservation and fair labor practices—all over mouth-watering food, of course. The first episode of the new season premieres on Tastemade and KCET on Tuesday, Jan. 25.
