2026 AFC U-17 Women’s Asian Cup continued Thursday as host nation China delivered a dominant 6-0 win over Thailand to finish on top of Group A in Suzhou.
China controlled the pace of the match almost immediately, attacking with confidence and intensity from the opening minutes. The hosts found an early breakthrough after sustained pressure and never looked back, continuing to create chances throughout the first half while Thailand struggled to slow down the movement and speed of China’s attack.

Li Qixian and Cheng Wandi helped extend the lead before halftime, giving China full control heading into the break. While Thailand attempted to regroup with defensive adjustments and substitutions, the momentum remained firmly with the home side.
The second half only widened the gap. China returned with even more energy, scoring three goals within a short stretch to completely put the match out of reach. Li added another goal to her performance, while substitute Huang Qinyi made an immediate impact with two impressive finishes, including a powerful solo run that highlighted China’s attacking depth.

With the victory, China completed a flawless Group A campaign and now advances to the quarter-finals as one of the tournament favorites. Thailand’s future in the competition remains uncertain as they wait to see if they will move forward as one of the best third-place teams.
