“Crush The Skull” : A Very Different Kind of Wong Fu Production

When we think of the work of Wong Fu Productions, we all generally come to the same sort of descriptions. We think of their romantic comedies that leave us on cloud nine. We think of heartbreak stories that are so relatable, they must have gone through what we did. We think of their quirky characters, their pretty cinematography, and their feel-good shorts.

All of this is probably the reason we’re so caught off guard by “Crush The Skull.” Featuring Chris Dinh and Tara Perry, this short takes us far, far away from cuddly romance.

Instead, we get a couple stranded on the road who must face the danger of could-be murderous strangers.

The short was uploaded in 2011 and although it was so different from the usual Wong Fu shorts, it gathered an impressive 900,000 views.

Last week, in honor of Halloween, Wong Fu released “Crush The Skull 2.” We find the same unfortunate couple having to deal with danger and accidental deaths. We can only hope that this very unlucky couple avoids a “Crush The Skull 3” situation.

Check it out and tell us what you think of this side of Wong Fu Productions.
