David Lim Joins CBS’ ‘S.W.A.T.’ Squad

David Lim (“Quantico”) has been bumped up to series regular on the CBS drama “S.W.A.T.” ahead of the show’s November premiere.

Show director Justin Lin felt the “S.W.A.T.” team needed one more member to feel complete, so executive producer Shawn Ryan had the writers brainstorm a role for Lim after an impressive audition, according to TVLine. Lim will play Victor Tran, a S.W.A.T. newcomer with some police experience in the Hollywood area who uses his connections to get insider information to help the team.

CBS’ “S.W.A.T.” is inspired by the film of the same title which focuses on a S.W.A.T. sergeant who is tasked with heading a special task force in the Los Angeles Police Department.

Lim was most recently seen in a key recurring role on “Quantico.” His other projects include appearances on “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” “Criminal Minds” and “Supergirl.”
