“Hotel Mumbai,” Dev Patel’s latest project, is coming to theaters in March.
The film, directed by Anthony Maras and also starring Armie Hammer, Nazanin Boniadi, Anupam Kher and Jason Isaacs, takes place during the 2008 Mumbai attacks at the Taj Mahal Palace Hotel.
It’s based on “Surviving Mumbai,” a 2009 documentary about the attacks told from the perspectives of those who were present during the siege.
Patel plays Arjun, a hotel waiter who is tasked with protecting the guests, while Hammer is David, an all-American guest who checks in with his wife and newborn baby.
“Hotel Mumbai” premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.
