There’s no backing down when it comes to revenge, especially when the main character of the” Monkey Man” Kid (Dev Patel) is seeking it.
Based on the legend of Hanuman, this action-thriller film tells the story of Kid, an unassuming man taking odd jobs during the day and moonlighting as an underground ring fighter wearing a gorilla mask, where he’s beaten bloody every night.
With an unknown past but a thirst for vengeance, the trailer shows Kid setting old grudges and facing off with a mysterious man (Sharlto Copley) who seems to be at the center of his quest for revenge.
“Monkey Man” is Patel’s directorial debut and features international names like Sobhita Dhulipala (“Made in Heaven”), Pitobash (“Million Dollar Arm”), Vipin Sharma (“Hotel Mumbai”), Ashwini Kalsekar (“Ek Tha Hero”), Adithi Kalkunte (“Hotel Mumbai”), Sikandar Kher (“Aarya”) and Makarand Deshpande (“RRR”).
