Grace Lynn Kung has joined the coming HBO film adaptation of Ray Bradbury’s “Fahrenheit 451” in a supporting role, according to Deadline.
The Canadian actress will play Chairman Mao, a resistance member who fights against a world in which books are outlawed and burned. She joins cast members Martin Donovan, Andy McQueen, Lilly Singh, Michael B Jordan, Michael Shannon and Sofia Boutella.
“Fahrenheit” is directed by Ramin Bahrani, who wrote it with Amir Naderi.
Kung currently stars in the Canadian comedy TV series “Mary Kills People,” and will appear in the upcoming horror film “Cult of Chucky.”
