Stop me if you’ve seen this one before but I believe this entertaining video is still making the rounds on the interwebs.
Meet Paul and James, two adopted kids with polar opposite self-identities.
Paul — a bearded hulking linebacker type — refers to himself as “Italian American,” given that his parents and grandparents are 100% proud Italians. James has a preppy look about him but has “Made in Korea” tattooed on his right butt cheek. Hardcore.
The video is good fodder for a discussion on what it means to be Korean American, which is what we’re all about.
Check out the video after the jump.
HBO’s Asians Aloud – East of Main Street – Paul and James
This clip is a part of a larger collection of Asian American viewpoints presented by HBO in celebration of Asian Pacific Heritage Month (which was May). You can still see the other clips (which are not nearly as humorous) if you are lucky enough to have HBO On Demand.
