Forestella, the hottest crossover group of the moment, will perform live on Friday, January 20 (9pm) at Pechanga Resort Casino’s newly built massive concert space – Pechanga Summit.
Four men with no name and completely different backgrounds auditioned for a popular singing competition show, Phantom Singer 2 of JTBC in 2017. They join forces and create a group in the final round to win the competition and actually take the win. This is the story behind the birth of this crossover male vocal quartet, Forestella.
After winning the show and officially debuting with their first album Evolution in 2018, they released two more albums and gained public recognition for their performances on Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend. Forestella continued to show high-quality performance raising the bar for other contestants, which awarded them an undefeated championship and became a legend of the show.
The members have diverse musical backgrounds. Cho Min-kyu and Ko Woo-rim majored in classic vocal music in college and have won classic vocal competitions. Bae Doo-hoon is a musical actor and occasionally sang for a gugak-rock fusion band. Kang Hyung-ho was a chemical engineer and researcher and vocalist of an amateur rock band. Ko recently married the figure skating queen Kim Yuna, which made headlines in every single media outlet in Korea.
Forestella’s fans encompass all ages. They are well known for the wide age range of their fans from 10s to 60s. The upcoming performance in SoCal will provide a wonderful moment that every member of the family in all generations can enjoy and remember.
