Hines Ward Snares Two TDs in Steelers Victory

Hope you started Hines Ward on your fantasy football team.

The Pittsburgh Steelers’ veteran wideout scored two touchdowns on Sunday as the defending AFC champions downed the Tennessee Titans by a score of 38-17.

Ward scored his second touchdown with an acrobatic leap over Titans safety Michael Griffin to get into the endzone.

“He was very sharp with all his reads,” Ward said of quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. “They played a lot of cover-2 and usually when teams play cover-2, we are supposed to be able to run the ball effectively, which we did. And it opened up things in the middle for Heath [Miller] and me.”

Ward caught a season-high seven passes for 54 yards, working most of the day out of the slot position. The two scores were the first for the University of Georgia product this season in what has been a relatively quiet year so far.
