James Lee did NOT think these kids are cute.
Maybe I’m a little twisted but I’m so intrigued by the reasoning crazy of James Lee, the 43-year-old man who entered Discovery Communications headquarters yesterday with a gun and explosives. He was mentally ill, to be sure, but his beliefs contained some logic.
He believed that:
– Human overpopulation is responsible for all the pollution and problems in the world.
– We are being brainwashed by the media.
– Shows about mondo-families such as TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting and Jon & Kate Plus 8 (Now simply Kate Plus Eight), Table for 12,and Quints By Surprise were making people want to have babies.
– Instead of these type of programs, there should be shows encouraging human sterilization and infertility. He even tried to sponsor a contest to develop this type of television programming.
Lee felt that no one seemed to be listening so he took his rage to an unthinkable level. He finally got the attention he wanted.
