The CFDA and Vogue Fashion Fund Award winner, Public School, and runners up, Juan Carlos Obando and Marc Alary, have paired up with J. Crew for their debut capsule collection. The collection shows each designer’s unique taste from Public School’s sporty, urban womenswear, to Obando’s flirty, tiered skirt, and Alary’s nature-inspired jewelry.
Daniel Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne are the dynamic duo known as Public School. Chow and Osborne blend references from fashion, music, and art to create fashion that is unique and detailed. Every consideration is made to design and manufacture their full range in their home of New York. Chow and Osborne have received many accolades including the CFDA Swarovski Award for Menswear and, of course, the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award.
So what is the CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund Award? The Council of Fashion Designers of America have partnered with Vogue magazine to create an endowment to support the next generation of American fashion designers. Three emerging designers are selected annually by the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Selection Committee, and are awarded business mentoring from established fashion industry professionals and a prize of up to $300,000 to enable recipients to pursue their independent designs.
Their collection debuts on June 16, but is now available for preorder on jcrew.com.
