January is over, and while the start of the month made for a powerful start, it closed up with a slew of jams, too. Here’s a roundup of our favorite genre-mixing K-pop tracks from these past few weeks!
“Bad Boy” – Red Velvet
The girls of Red Velvet leveled up in “Bad Boy.” The girls’ mesmerizing vocals are the stars of this smoldering trap/R&B track.
“It’s U” – Golden Child
Gol-Cha teamed up with labelmate Infinite’s frequent collaborator Sweetune for “It’s U.” We love the blend of old-school K-pop with the freshness that the boys bring to the stage.
“Love Scenario” – iKON
It’s kind of refreshing to see hip-hop group iKON take on something a bit mellower in “Love Scenario.” Is that a cowbell we hear?
“Shinin’” – Jonghyun
Jonghyun’s genre-bending, hip-swinging posthumous single is making its rounds on the charts, and we hope he knows just how well he’s done up in heaven.
“Nega Dola” – BoA
The original K-pop queen, BoA, is showing no signs of slowing down in her newest single “Nega Dola.”
