This week in K-pop sees the triumphant returns of some of our favorite acts, along with those from newer artists. From BoA to Weki Meki, take a look at the tracks to which we’re bopping our heads:
“LA LA LA” – Weki Meki
I.O.I offshoot Weki Meki’s newest single borrows heavily from the genre-bending approach of their debut song, but “La La La” sounds more cohesive, evidence of the girls’ musical growth.
“One Shot, Two Shot” – BoA
This addictive pop dance song from BoA proves once again why the Queen of K-pop’s career has lasted so long.
“Boss” – NCT U
NCT U is back and showing us who’s boss in this new release that’s bursting with attitude and swagger.
“Black Dress” – CLC
Much like a little black dress, CLC’s latest single is both elegant and sexy with a beat that’ll make you want to get up and dance.
“Don’t Be Pretty” – 14U
K-pop tends to be full of dark, sultry concepts and dramatic music, but listening to indulgent, feel-good bubblegum pop like 14U’s “Don’t Be Pretty” can also be a good time.
