Filming has begun on a new reality TV show made by the same people who brought you the infamous “K-Town” reality show. But instead of following around the young, soju-swilling, drink-in-the-face throwing denizens of Los Angeles’ Koreatown, we will be privy to a sexier, cleavage-ier subculture: the import car scene of Southern California.
Described as a show that “explores the Asian American youth culture of Southern California and encompasses the underground worlds of import car modeling and go-go dancing,” viewers can expect to see the new show, dubbed “Roll Models” (get it?) sometime this summer via the LOUD channel on YouTube.
It looks like at least six buxom young ladies have been cast so far; the show’s producers said on their Facebook page that some “K-Town” cast members will be featured on the new show. Indeed, cast member Jowe Lee recently tweeted photos of himself with several models at Avec nightclub in Huntington Beach, Calif.
So is this finally a show the horny Asian American gearhead community can rally around? We shall see. Until then, check out the “Roll Models” cast members after the jump:
Melyssa Grace
Ranked No. 3 on Complex magazine’s list of the Top 25 Hottest Import Models, she is described as “a titan of the import model scene.” Grace is of Filipino and German descent and grew up in California and Hawaii.
Nikita Esco
Ranked No. 4 on Complex magazine’s list, Esco is a veteran import model and go-go dancer and has been featured in magazines such as Lowrider and Freestyle. She is of Chinese and French descent.
Gina Darling
This model and go-go dancer is of Vietnamese, Chinese and French ancestry. She enjoys watching Park Chan-wook films and playing video games.
Beckie Joon
This model and go-go dancer is not Korean, although most people think so. The Orange County native is Vietnamese and Chinese and counts a modeling job for Nordstrom’s at the age of 15 as her first professional gig, according to DSPORT magazine.
Danielle Lo
This San Francisco native is also a licensed cosmetologist who attended the University of California at San Diego, according to Complex. She is of Chinese, German, Austrian, English and Irish ancestry.
Michelle Yee
Ranked No. 21 on Complex magazine’s sexiest import models list, Yee hails from California and also go-go dances and puts in work as an MMA ring girl.
