Karen O And Danger Mouse Drop New Single ‘Woman’

Karen O and Danger Mouse recently unveiled their power-packed single, “Woman,” to announce details about their upcoming album, “Lux Prima.”

While both artists lead successful, accolade-studded solo careers, O and Danger Mouse have teamed up to form the ultimate indie dream team. “Woman” follows the release of “Lux Prima’s” 9-minute long title track, which dropped last November. The song is comprised of melodious synths, sharp snare drums and is punctuated by O’s primal vocals. If these two tracks offer any insight to the rest of “Lux Prima,” the album is sure to be an absolute homerun. “Lux Prima” debuts on March 15 and is currently available for pre-order. This will be the pair’s first official collaborative project.

“‘Woman’ came like a bolt out of the blue when we were in the studio,” O said in a press release. “I like to write songs that anyone can relate to but this one felt especially for the inner child in me that needed the bullies out there to know you don’t f-ck with me. I’m a woman now and I’ll protect that inner girl in me from hell and high water.”
