Ki Hong Lee, who was seen on Netflix’s “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” this year, has joined a horror thriller directed by John Leonetti and starring Joey King and Ryan Phillippe, Deadline reports.
“Wish Upon,” from Broad Green Entertainment, follows an unhappy teenage girl who receives a wish-granting music box and soon finds that the cost of each wish is the death of someone close to her.
The film, which began production this month, is written by Barbara Marshall.
Lee plays Dong Nguyen in “Kimmy Schmidt” as a love interest of Kimmy. A Los Angeles-raised Korean American, the actor is famous for his role in the “Maze Runner” franchise.
