South Korean vocalist Hwang Chi-yeol, also famously known as Huang Zhi Lie to Chinese audiences, will put on his first-ever U.S. concert for two nights inside Pechanga Resort & Casino on Aug. 12 and 13.
Hailing from Busan, Hwang is a familiar face to fans of Korean variety shows like “I Live Alone,” “Immortal Songs” and “Ask Us Anything,” and of the Chinese singing competition program “I Am A Singer,” on which he placed second earlier this year.
Hwang debuted in 2007 but only made headlines last year when he appeared on “I Can See Your Voice,” where he wowed viewers with his rendition of a famous Korean ballad, “Confession,” originally by rock legend Im Jae-beom.
Tickets are available from $70 to $200. Visit koreanconcert.net or call (714) 443-3500 for more information.
