Folks, prepare to dance in your seats! Lana Condor of “To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before” fame and Avantika, who played Karen in the cinematic adaptation of Broadway’s “Mean Girls,” will star in the upcoming action movie “Ballerina Overdrive.”
Condor and Avantika will be a part of a ballerina troupe unexpectedly thrust into a scenario only seen in action-thriller movies. Along with their other troupe members, they must fight for their survival after their bus breaks down en route to a competition. Other actors included in “Ballerina Overdrive” include Iris Apatow (“The Bubble”), Millicent Simmonds(“A Quiet Place”), and Maddie Ziegler (“The Fallout”).
“Ballerina Overdrive” has begun production in Budapest with Vicky Jewson (“The Witcher: Blood Origins”) directing the film. Kelly McCormick and David Leitch (“The Fall Guy,” “Bullet Train”) will produce the project with Jenny Jue (“Okja”) as lead casting.
