Lee Byung-hun has been confirmed to star in the upcoming Hollywood film Beyond Deceit, BH Entertainment announced Friday.

Starring Anthony Hopkins, Al Pacino, Josh Duhamel and Malin Akerman, Beyond Deceit is a thriller that follows the story of an ambitious young lawyer who takes on a big case against a corrupted executive of a pharmaceutical company, only to find himself drawn to a murder case in which he is the prime suspect. The film marks the directorial debut of screenwriter Shintaro Shimosawa.

Lee will be playing the role of “The Accountant” in the film while Duhamel plays the lawyer and Hopkins plays the corrupted exec. No other information has been released in regards to Lee’s character in the film.

The Hallyu star has acted in a handful of Hollywood projects in recent years, including playing Storm Shadow in the G.I Joe films and the villainous T-1000 cyborg in Terminator Genisys, which is slated for a July 2015 release.

Since last August, Lee has been embroiled in a $5 million blackmail scandal in South Korea. Kim Dae-hee of the now-defunct K-pop girl group GLAM and model Lee Ji-yeon were convicted of attempting to blackmail Lee with a video recording of a sexually explicit conversation held inside his home. The two women were sentenced to one year in prison in January, but were granted bail on March 10 after their appeal.

Beyong Deceit begins principal photography this month in New Orleans, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
