After years of playing an evil sidekick, a viral meme and delicious taiyaki, Magikarp will finally splash in its own feature mobile game, “Splash! Magikarp,” to be released in spring by The Pokémon Company.
Details on the game itself is limited, with the exception of a teaser site that launched earlier today showing a mock newspaper article reporting the appearance of mysterious holes, discovered by a local fisherman, shaped like Magikarp.

According to IGN, the game — which will be available on iOS and Android devices — will be developed by Select Button, which is behind the hit mobile pet simulator title “Survive! Mola Mola!” No news yet on whether there will be an international release, but from previous Pokémon titles, we shouldn’t have to worry too much.
In the meantime, we’ll just have to splash around until level 20 more info is revealed.
