Police arrested a man in connection to the double shooting on Feb 15 at a liquor store in Clover Hill, Va., that injured the storeowner and killed his clerk, local TV station WHSV reported.
Rockingham County Sheriff’s Office identified that suspect as Javon Lamont Arrington, a 21-year-old who now faces multiple charges including capital murder-robbery, attempt to commit capital offense, an aggravated malicious wounding and two counts of use of firearm in the commission of a felony.

The double shooting killed store clerk Eun Kim and injured Jae Kim (not related to Eun Kim), who remains hospitalized in critical condition.
“Just a totally reckless disregard for humanity,” Rockingham County Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson told WHSV about the crime. “Now, we move on to try to get a conviction in the case. This is where we are now, but the work is not done.”
There are still details that police didn’t reveal, which includes how they found and arrested Arrington, who was on the run for over a month, as the investigation is still ongoing. Arrington will have a hearing on Thursday.
The community in Rockingham County has already held benefits and vigils to support Jae Kim and his family. Supporters have left flowers and stuffed animals outside the Dry River Store.
“They were family to us,” said Kayla Reese, a Rockingham County resident. “Clover Hill, we might be a little redneck town, but you know, we stick together like family. I actually started crying because, now, I’m glad that the family has the closure that they deserve.”
