More than 20 years after the 2003 comedy hit “Freaky Friday” starring Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, “Freaky Friday 2” has officially started filming. The sequel to the body-swapping romp will drop viewers back into the lives of Tess (Curtis) and Anna (Lohan) as a new bout of challenges comes their way. Now a mother, Anna’s family is continuing to grow as she gets to know her soon-to-be stepdaughter.
Lohan and Curtis are not the only ones attached to the project. Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Sophia Hammons, Manny Jacinto, and Julia Butters, who have undisclosed roles, are new additions to the cast. Original cast members Mark Harmon, Chad Michael Murry, Lucille Soong, Rosalind Chao, Christina Vidal Mitchell, Haley Hudson, and Stephen Tobolowsky are also returning.
Disney also confirmed that “Freak Friday 2” will hit theaters nationwide in 2025. So don’t freak out, and keep an eye out for any future updates!
