Mark Redito’s new single “Everything Felt Right,” out today, tells the story of a serendipitous encounter with a stranger.
Redito, formerly known as Spazzkid, built on his love for “tropical dance music, the afro-house, reggaeton and dancehall” for the song.
“I grew up in a tropical country—the Philippines—and there’s something about music made in the tropics that I really resonate with,” Redito told Kore. “I’m a big fan of dance music coming from South America and the Caribbean. I feel a sense of connection to those music cultures. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I hear a certain ‘pulse’ in those genres and that ‘pulse’ reminds me of home.”
