For all you “Matrix” fans out there, it’s time to fly.
After releasing several sneak peeks (including a mind-bending website), Warner Bros. finally dropped the first full trailer for “The Matrix 4: Resurrections” on Sept. 9. The trailer sees Neo (Keanu Reeves) back inside the nefarious mechanisms of the Matrix, popping blue pills with barely any memories of his past—or of his kickass partner, the equally amnesiac Trinity (Carrie-Anne Moss). Luckily, Neo and Trinity don’t seem to be alone, as new characters played by Yahya Adul-Mateen II (“Aquaman”) and AAPI actress Jessica Henwick (“Game of Thrones”) will do whatever it takes to rescue humanity’s saviors. Original creator Lana Wachowski returns to direct, and the stacked cast list also includes Neil Patrick Harris, Jada Pinkett Smith and Priyanka Chopra Jonas.
“The Matrix 4: Resurrections” is coming to theaters and HBO Max on Dec. 22, just in time for Christmas. Watch the trailer here.
