The Harvest Moon Festival, also known as the Mid-Autumn Festival, celebrates the full moon in the fall, which is when the moon is at its brightest and its fullest. This full moon usually happens between mid-September to early October, and indicates harvest time according to Chinese cultural practices. Eventually, many other East and Southeast Asian cultures such as Japan, South Korea, Vietnam and the Philippines have adopted the belief and also celebrate the festival.
In celebration of the Harvest Moon, Pechanga Resort Casino is giving away a total of $100,000 in EasyPlay and cash prizes! The first $50,000 in Harvest Moon drawings will be announced on Saturday, September 26, and the rest of the $50,000 on Saturday, October 3. To win, Pechanga Club members can earn entries to the drawing by playing slots and table games from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Members can win prizes starting anywhere from $250 to $1,000.
