San Diego Asian Film Festival Wants You!

It’s that time of the year again! On October 21-28, 2010 at t he Mission Valley UltraStar Cinemas at Hazard Center, San Diego Asian Film Festival (SDAFF) will celebrate their 11th Season and SDAFF launches call for entries.  SDAFF is looking for amazing talents in the following categories: narrative feature, narrative short, documentary feature, documentary short, and animation. Your film will be viewed by an estimated audience of more than 18,000 during 8 days of film, panels, and exciting special events.

During the Festival’s Gala Awards Night on Saturday, October 23, 2010, an independent jury will announce the winners of each category, including the Grand Jury award.  Festival programmers will also select a first-time filmmaker, whom will receive the George C. Lin Emerging Filmmaker Award and a $1,000 prize.

To enter, films/videos submitted must be directed and essentially acted by an artist of Asian or Pacific Islander decent or the film/video’s substance relates to Asian or Pacific Islander culture.

  • Early Deadline: April 30, 2010 ($25 Submission Fee)
  • Late Deadline: June 11, 2010 ($40 Submission Fee)
