The Korean American Coalition’s national gathering will be hosted by KAC-Chicago this year and the chapter is bursting with excitement to invite you to their vibrant city. Join us with special guests across the nation’s KAC chapters from Los Angeles to Seattle, government agencies, and representatives from 20+ Korean American organizations in our local and national networks.
The convention will provide a chance for Korean Americans of all generations and backgrounds to come together to discuss the latest prevailing issues challenging our community and highlight the legacy of our predecessors. The convention will kick off on Friday with a VIP reception of the Korean American leaders, speakers, and special guests.
Then the following morning, the day convention will feature panelists discussing the (1) Interplay and Dynamics of the 1.52 Korean-American Identity, (2) Meaning of Civic Engagement on Issues of North Korea and Comfort Women, (3) Taking Care of Our Aging Senior Citizen Population, (4) Value of Mentoring, (5) Ways to Improve Community Outreach, and (6) Achieving Financial Independence and Retirement Planning. The convention will provide a unique platform where the dynamics of both the pioneering & future generations will be examined through the perspectives of today’s Asian American leaders in a collaborative effort to build a strong network of informed and engaged citizens.
In the evening, we will celebrate with the annual GenKAC Gala unique to KAC-Chicago with special guests & entertainment and exhibit booths. The event will provide an opportunity to learn more about the Coalition, our partner organizations, and Chicago’s vibrant Korean American community at one of Chicago’s landmark buildings.
