In Audrey Magazine‘s Spring issue, we opened our Audrey Style section with an ode to all things blooming in jewelry. But it’s not just jewelry that’s gone daffodils. I can’t get enough of the fleur du jour look seen everywhere, from jeans to bags to even cosmetics.

And while floral prints, done right, can add just enough pop to your look, you don’t have to stick to prints. Floral references were everywhere on spring runways, from frilly petal-like incarnations (as seen on Chanel Iman at Valentino), to bloom-worthy hues of peony, poppy and bougainvillea.
Jonesy makes a pared-down version of the nude petal trend that I really like. Try it with a pop of a petal-like fabric necklace to avoid looking washed out.
I also like Michelle Kim’s 213 Industry tank dress with chiffon rosettes at the hem. Top it off with a jacket for work, and then live in it all weekend as is. A colorful chiffon flower necklace by Soho Hearts adds a double dose of floral nirvana in hue and form.
A dressier version by Sue Wong offers a really good bridesmaid alternative.
What I love best about this season’s floral print is that it’s showing up in the most unexpected of places. Like Cece Chin’s teeny floral print platform lace-ups for her cult shoe line 80%20. I’m personally loving the clunky “ugly” shoe this season — it’s the perfect foil for all the uber-feminine ruffly, floral, lacy looks I’ll be wearing.
And these Zana Di floral jeans. So geek. So chic.
Last but not least, I lusting over Valerie’s Rose Blush collection, with its super pretty rose sculpted blushes. It’s actually made with crushed, micro-milled rose petals. Gorgeous!
