Steven Yeun’s ‘Walking Dead’ Character To Get Love Interest

Love will be in the air … along with stinking rotten zombie flesh in the second season of “The Walking Dead.”

Digital Spy reported Tuesday that Steven Yeun’s character Glenn on the zombie dystopia show will develop feelings for a new character named Maggie, to be played by Lauren Cohan.

“Lauren is really cool,” Yeun told reporters at the 2011 San Diego Comic-Con. “We’ve shot some stuff together so far [and] it’s great.”

The actor also claimed that the introduction of Maggie will have a strong impact on Glenn’s outlook following the zombie apocalypse.

“Playing Glenn before, he lived to serve,” said Yeun. “He lived to have a role and to leave a mark on the world, even if he dies a martyr.

“I love the idea that someone who didn’t really have anything to live for, has so much more to live for [now].”

Actress Lauren Cohan

Cohan is best known for a recurring role in NBC show “Chuck.” The second season of “The Walking Dead” will make its debut on AMC in October.
