Drinking water and staying hydrated are the most important things you could do for your skin and body – especially when the days are hotter and sunnier. This is why my Ello water bottle in dark gray is one of my 5 favorite things this summer. Not only does it help my skin and body, as the 20 oz. bottle forces me to drink at least that much each day, but it also helps the environment. The other cool thing about this bottle is, besides that it only costs $10, that it’s BPA free!

In addition to staying hydrated, moisturizing is also important for your skin. The drastic change in the weather can do all kinds of crazy things to your body. I like to moisturize with Gold Bond Ultimate’s Silk Softness Sheer Ribbons body lotion in “touchably soft skin.” After sampling one pump of this lotion at a local Walgreens, this is the only lotion I’ll buy. It truly leaves your skin feeling silky smooth – plus it smells great.
The same goes for your lips when it comes to moisturizing. Chapped, flaky lips are always a no-no and they come by way too often during the summer. I depend on Burt’s Bees Beeswax Lip Balm for smooth lips and they never fail me. You can actually feel them working on your lips as the natural ingredients, vitamin E and peppermint oil, leave a tingling feeling on your lips. As it softens your lips, the peppermint oil fools others to think it’s your breath that smells minty and fresh.
Sunglasses is one thing I’ll say a person can never have too much of. Owning 5 pairs myself, and constantly wanting to buy more every time I see some at a department store, someone could easily say that I like shades, and the idea behind them, in general. Yes, this is very true, but out of all the ones I own, my favorite for this summer is my Dolce & Gabbana sunglasses in style #3062. These cat eyed/wayfarer glasses have 100% UV protection, impact resistant, and it can spruce up any look in an instant giving you an old Hollywood glamour look.
When I’m not in the office and I’m out hanging out with my friends or out running errands, I usually reach for my Levi’s 560 ripped cutoff shorts. Even though they’re technically jeans, these shorts give enough room in the legs to keep me cool and comfortable enough to move any way I want to. The ripped, worn out shorts also gives me a relaxed and vintage look as well. It’s so easy to just throw these on on a hot summer day.
