A new workplace comedy from “Superstore” writer/producers Vicky Luu and Bridget Kyle, “Like Magic,” has been put into development by NBC.
The show will be co-written by Luu and Kyle, while Matt Hubbard will serve as an executive producer. Kelly Pancho of NBC’s “I Feel Bad” is set as a producer.
The show follows “an optimistic young woman pursuing her dreams in the mysterious world of the Magic Palace,” according to Deadline.
“Superstore,” starring an ensemble cast including America Ferrera and Nico Santos, is another workplace comedy that follows the employees’ lives at supersized megastore Cloud 9. Luu and Kyle previously worked together on FOX’s comedy series “The Grinder.”
Hubbard also wrote for “Superstore” and is most known for his work on NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” and “30 Rock.” He is currently working with Alan Yang on Amazon Prime Original’s comedy series “Forever” starring Maya Rudolph and Fred Armisen.
