Sweet Sorrow member In Ho-jin and his manager chased down a drunk driver after witnessing a hit-and-run on Feb. 19, reports Yonhap.

In and his manager, Kim Sung-hyun, were on their way to a record a film OST after shooting an episode of MBC’s I Am a Singer 3, when they saw a married couple in their 50s get hit by a KIA Pride on a crosswalk at 12:37 a.m, according to the Seoul Seocho Police.

The singer and manager immediately turned the van around to catch the driver, who continued to drive for about 700 meters after hitting the couple. Once Kim blocked the driver’s car at a red light, In called the police. The two men stayed at the police station until 2 a.m. to give their witness testimonies.

The police said the driver, identified only by his surname Kwon, had a blood alcohol content of 0.166 percent at the time of the incident. The driver’s vehicle was traveling at about 31 miles per hour when he collided into the pedestrians.

Kwon, however, claimed that he did not intend a hit-and-run as he initially thought he had hit a trash bag instead of people.

Meanwhile, In expressed concern for the married couple, as the husband sustained a head injury while his wife suffered a serious leg injury. He wished them a speedy recovery.

Sweet Sorrow is a popular male quartet, renowned for their smooth R&B vocals and sweet harmonies. The four members met at a glee club in Yonsei University and turned pro after winning the 2004 Yoo Jae-ha Music Competition.
