Better known for his smooth electronic beats and onstage antics, Steve Aoki is now turning literary. Today, Aoki announced that he will be dropping his memoir, “BLUE: The Color of Noise” this summer.
One of the top ten DJs in the world Aoki is a creative jack-of-all-trades who dabbles in music production, fashion design and heads the music label, Dim Mak. Aoki’s memoir will detail the DJ’s journey from being a rebellious teenage musician playing DIY-punk shows in his parents’ living room to becoming the internationally recognized, Grammy-winning artist that he is today. “BLUE” will cover his relationship with his teppanyaki mogul father, life on the road and losing close friends to drugs and alcohol. “BLUE” is Aoki’s second book and will drop this year on Tuesday, Sept. 3.
