The World’s Greatest Competitive Eater Pranks Soccer Team

If you don’t know who Takeru Kobayashi is, you may want to change that. After all, this 36-year-old holds an astounding six Guinness World Records. His talent? Competitive eating.

Born in Nagano, Japan, Kobayashi began competitive eating in 2001. During his rookie competition, he broke the record by eating 50 hot dogs in 12 minutes. Kobayashi went on to beat this amount and currently holds the Guinness World Record for 69 hot dogs in 10 minutes.

Of course, Kobayashi isn’t limited to hot dogs. He holds Guinness World records for eating meatballs, Twinkies, hamburgers, pizza and pasta as well.

One may not expect these impressive records from Kobayashi. After all, he stands at 5’8″ and weighs 128 lbs. As skilled as he may be, his frame is awfully deceiving. This may be why the New York Cosmos were unable to recognize the talented competitive eater.

Disguised a waiter at Buffalo Wild Wings, Kobayashi was able to successfully prank Midfielder Peri Marosevic, who was called the team’s biggest eater. Clearly, Marosevic had no idea what he was up against.

Check out the hilarious prank below.
