Top Gear Korea Set to Launch in August

A South Korean version of award-winning car aficionado show Top Gear will debut in August, according to news sources.

The popular British TV show has capitalized on its popularity in recent years with spin-offs in the United States, Russia, Australia, and, most recently, China.

Top Gear Korea will be hosted by former professional racing driver Kim Jin-Pyo, car and bike expert Kim Kap-Soo, and actor and new racing circuit member Yeon Jung-Hoon.

The show, which plans to stage a road race against the KTX bullet train, will also have the Korean version of the Stig, the anonymous professional driver popularized in the original show.
