Unforgettable Actor of the Year: Leonardo Nam

You’ve likely seen Leonardo Nam — who will be honored as Actor of the Year at Kore Asian Media’s 16th Unforgettable gala, presented by BMW, on Dec. 9, 2017 — as Felix Lutz on HBO’s fantastical robot drama “Westworld.”

The series, which takes place in an android-hosted amusement park called Westworld, was a ratings hit upon its 2016 release and was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

Felix, a body technician who repairs the park’s damaged android hosts, forms a connection with Maeve (played by Thandie Newton), one of the hosts who begins questioning the reality of the “Old West” town in which she resides.

Nam was born in Argentina and grew up in Australia. He has also been seen in films like “The Perfect Score,” “Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants” and “The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift.” His coming projects besides “Westworld,” which returns in spring next year, include supporting roles in the films “Puberty” and “Happy Anniversary.”

This year, he is also the ambassador of HBO’s APA Visionaries film competition, which encourages talented Asian Pacific Americans to submit their shorts for a chance at a platform to showcase their work.
