With the Big Hero 6 Blu-ray and DVD release just a week away, now seems like the perfect time to catch up with some of the people who made this animated film possible. We’ve already spoken to Baymax, so now let’s focus on the brilliant directors behind Big Hero 6, Don Hall and Chris Williams.
These two have quite a bit to be proud of. Big Hero 6 received nominations for an Academy Award, an Annie Award, a Golden Globe and a BAFTA Award. And let’s not forget the 5 awards it took home from the Visual Effects Society Awards.
Of course, we’re not too surprised. After all, Hall and Williams already worked together on Emperor’s New Groove. Don Hall has also worked on The Princess and the Frog, Tarzan and Chicken Little while Chris Williams has worked on Mulan, Wreck-It-Ralph and Frozen.
Earlier this month, Hall and Williams took the time to talk to Audrey Magazine about everything from how they’re feeling with the Oscars coming up to the challenges they faced while creating Big Hero 6. Watch it all below.
Be on the look out for our interview with voice actors Daniel Henney and Ryan Potter coming soon!
