So you wanna be a K-pop star? For its fourth season, Korea’s popular reality contest K-Pop Star will hold auditions in the U.S. starting on July 29. The winner of the show will receive a record deal with JYP, YG or Antenna Music. American contestants have experienced great success in the past seasons, especially last season when Bernard Park and Sam Kim, both Korean Americans, finished in first and second place respectively.
The program has been accepting applications since June 1 and will continue to accept them until the day of the auditions at the applicants’ respective location. Applications must be emailed to email addresses corresponding to the location the applicant will perform at. Find more info here.
Below are the dates and locations for the five auditions in the U.S.:
Hawaii – Tuesday, July 29th at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort
Houston, Texas – Saturday, August 2nd at Stratford High School
Los Angeles, California – Saturday, August 2nd at the Edward R. Roybal Learning Center
New York, New York – Saturday, August 9th at the Queens Theatre at the Park
Seattle, Washington – Saturday, August 9th at The Westin Seattle
