While the majority of the stories coming out of Augusta, were of Tiger’s return, and Phil Mickelson’s victory at the Master’s tournament, there was also another incident of note.
Golf writer Dan Jenkins tweeted this about Korean golfer Y.E. Yang, during the tournament: “Y.E. Yang is three shots off the lead. I think we got takeout from him last night.”
Yang tweeted back with this:
Did Yang just threaten Jenkins with 1.5 billion Chinese? Is that what’s going on? Either way, Jenkins better watch out what he tweets next time. Golf has always been a polarizing sport when it comes to race, gender, and class, and Jenkins isn’t helping the sport he loves by saying such foolish things.
