Film director Justin Lin (Better Luck Tomorrow, Fast & Furious) and YouOffendMeYouOffendMyFamily.com have launched a new film initiative entitled INTERPRETATIONS to support aspiring filmmakers. In a nutshell, you make a short film of no more than 3 minutes using the same script we provide (get all the info here). To help us launch, we commissioned several filmmaker friends to make their own shorts using our script and we’ll be featuring each one of them here.
Today, we spotlight two more of these films: Represent by Iris Yamashita (Oscar-nominated writer of Letters From Iwo Jima) and Cambodian American by Spencer Nakasako (Emmy Award-winning director). Check them out below:

More films to come. But if you can’t wait, you can check out some of our other amazing commissioned shorts as well as get all the info about INTERPRETATIONS here. Make and submit your film or help us spread the word to other filmmakers. Deadline is Sept. 1 and five finalists will win a $3,000 cash prize to be used toward their next project and get their work seen by industry professionals.
