‘Crushing The Myth’ Speaker Series Hopes To Foster Community And Spark Discussion

Ever wish that you could get together with a bunch of people and just let it all out knowing that you’ll be understood? At “Crushing the Myth,” you can.

Inspired by the outdatedness and inaccuracy of the term “model minority,” “Crushing” is a speaker series dedicated to discussing issues that affect modern Asian Americans. Planned topics range from conversations about imposter syndrome to mental health to dating. Each talk will be led by a speaker who will share their own story and experiences. Guests are encouraged to meet and greet with speakers during intermissions and cocktail hour. The event will take place on Feb. 16 at The Cutting Room in New York City.

Tickets are $20 for general admission and $10 for students. To get more info, RSVP and purchase tickets check out their Facebook Event Page.
